Rafi Foundation, Pune Chapter Inaugurated by industry musicians

Two music stalwarts from the hindi music industry inaugurated the Rafi Foundation, Pune chapter on Feb 14, Valentine day at the S.M.JOSHI auditorium. The musical programme dedicated to singing legend Mohd Rafi was inaugurated by Mr.Enoch Daniels, renowned accordian, piano player and music arranger alongwith ace violinist Mr.Prabhakar Jog.
MrEnoch Daniels who accompanied Mohd Rafi in various music shows in India and also abroad paid glowing tributes to Mohd Rafi and said ” Rafi was the simplest person in real life and his contribution in music will be loved by generations of music lovers”. Mr.Prabhakar Jog recollected how Mohd Rafi would help musicians and colleagues in distress and respect the works of contemporaries during the golden era of hindi film music.
Rafi Foundation is an umbrella organisation for music lovers to come to-gether on a common platform and remember our music legends . It has several chapters/units in all metropolitan cities said Mr.Binu Nair, ardent Mohd Rafi fan from Mumbai and founder of the Rafi Foundation.
The magic of Mohammed Rafi comes alive in city
There will be three dedicated programmes to remember music legends in Pune said foundation activist Mr.Sanjay Kulkarni. Besides, budding singers will also get to showcase their talents and listening and singing sessions will also be held, he said.
Rich tributes were paid to Pune music legend Mr C.Ramchandra and Mr.Mahendra Kapoor and their songs were played live by a team of singers led by Mr.Amey Jog. The music loving Pune audience lapped up songs such as : Tum jo mil gaye ho, Khuda bhi aasman se, Dil pukaare aa re aa re, Neel gagan ke tale, Taron ki zuban par hai mohabbat ke nishani, Jaane kya dhundti rehti hai, Suhani raat dhal chuki, Naache man mora magan diki da and many others.
Mohammed rafi ek aisa naam jise rehti duniya tak yaad kiya jayega, rafi sahab ki awaaz hamare dilon mein hamesha mehfooz rahegi, rafi sahab ki awaaz mein ek kashish ek nasha hai jise bar bar sunte rehne ko dil karta hai, rafi sahab meri zindagi ek hissa hai, rafi sahab ki awaaz sunkar mere dil ko sukoon milta hai bahut anand milta hai main rafi sahab bahut bada fan hoon mujhe sote jagte rafi sahab ki awaaz sunti hai, i love rafi sahab.

Kudos to the entire team of Pune chapter
Its really a great news as the pune chapter was inaugurated by the exceptional accordionist Mr Enoch daniels. I used to listen to the most melodious tunes of Enoch daniels during my childhood & used to feel as if he has captured RAFI sahab in his accordion. I am 100% sure Mr Enoch daniels would have been highly influenced by the soul touching melody of our rafi sahab .
